	It is always better to start by placing the largest pieces first. If the parts are identical two by two, then the dissection is symmetric. In the asymmetric 7-piece Edward Lucas' puzzle, the largest piece is not in a corner. In the asymmetric 9-piece Nobuyuki Yoshigahara's puzzle, two of the three largest pieces are not in a corner.
